Any suggestions?

We've got a picky eater on our hands. He has gotten tired of baby food, which is fine, but he doesn't want much when it comes to big boy food. He loves things that dissolve easily (cookies, Gerber Puffs, Nutri-Grain bars, and muffins), but these things have practically no nutritional value. We've tried giving him things we're eating without much luck. He looks interested, but turns away when we attempt to give him anything. Any ideas? I don't mind trying anything. I really want him to get more into fruits and veggies instead of all those carbs.

Try some cheese Pizza then slowly add veggies & Pineapple.

Also, try Cucumbers and Avocado

Have you tried just putting food on his high chair tray? Or just giving him his own plate and spoon? A lot of kids are more interested if they can eat like the grown ups.

Have you tired the Gerber Graduates meals? They usually try to get multiple food groups in.

Good luck!

I don't know much about getting kids to eat stuff, but I know there are a whole lot of pureed vegetables you can sneak inside a muffin! I've been cooking from Deceptively Delicious and there are some kid-friendly recipes in there.

Sounds familiar. We meet with a eating lady to get Ramsey to try to swollow new textures. We all think he is just picky but he has started wanting what were having at dinner just since Cope got home. We also texturize his baby food with Rice Puffs to get him desensitized to swollowing textures. It is improving a good bit.
